Kintsugi is My Superpower! What is Yours?

Kintsugi is my superpower. It’s how I walk through the world, with visible seams, glowing with wisdom, resilience, and soul. I don’t pretend I’ve never fallen apart. I celebrate that I’ve put myself back together, with intention, with spirit, and with love.
What Does It Mean to Have a Superpower?
It’s not about flying or invisibility. It’s about what makes you you. What you’ve survived. What you’ve learned. What you give.
For me, it’s the ability to turn pain into purpose. To listen deeply. To hold space for others. To see beauty in brokenness and help others see it too.
As editor of GGCN Magazine, I meet grandmothers who’ve lived through wars, losses, reinventions, and rebirths. Each one carries a superpower, whether it’s storytelling, nurturing, organizing, or simply showing up with fierce love.
So I ask you: What is your superpower? What gold runs through your cracks? What story are you ready to tell?
Let’s celebrate it. Let’s share it. Let’s build a network of golden women, each one shining bolder, braver gray tsunami of boomers.
